(CBS) Robert Pattinson took the stage at Wednesday night's People's Choice Awards, but it wasn't to accept a "Twilight" trophy.
The actor, sporting a super-short haircut, accepted the favorite dramatic movie award for his film "Water for Elephants."
Other awards at the fan-voted show went to Nathan Fillion (favorite TV drama actor), Adam Sandler (favorite comedic movie actor), Maroon 5 (favorite band) and Chloe Moretz (favorite movie star under 25).
Neil Patrick Harris, the favorite TV comedy actor winner, thanked his partner, David Burtka, and their twins Gideon and Harper - who, he joked, "should be asleep in the limo at the valet."
Emma Stone won the first award of the night, in the favorite movie actress category. She thanked her mom, who was sitting in the audience, before thanking fans for their support.
Ellen DeGeneres took home the next award, for favorite TV host, while Lea Michele won for favorite TV comedy actress and dedicated the award to the "Glee" cast and "all the Rachel Berrys out there." "The Vampire Diaries" actress Nina Dobrev won for favorite TV drama actress.
The night's first performance came from Demi Lovato, clad all in red, before she accepted the award for favorite pop star.
"I won this award because of my fans so I dedicate this to you guys," she said. "Without you guys tweeting so many times I wouldn't be here tonight."
Host Kaley Cuoco kicked off the night in familiar territory, with an opener featuring her "The Big Bang Theory" co-stars. When she arrived on stage, Cuoco had to contend with Harris, who tried to hijack the proceedings with a song and showgirls in tow.
Later in the ceremony, she visited the set of "Parks and Recreation" in a taped segment while the cast showed off their talents, and changed into a "Little House on the Prairie" costume after viewers voted for it on Twitter.
Who else will take home People's Choice trophies? Keep checking back here to find out - we'll be updating with details and photos throughout the ceremony.
